Summer Fun Wrap-Up

This Summer brought a few roadtrips and lots of fun!! Looking back at the fun we had and the memories we made...PRICELESS!! We started off in May taking a roadtrip to Kansas City for an overnight adventure at Great Wolf Lodge.It was our 5th wedding anniversary so what better way to spend it then with our chicas!! Ella had just started swim lessons and was still a lil' water shy but nonetheless we all had a blast! We couldn't leave KC until we hit up the shopping mall near GWL!
A few months passed before our next roadtrip so we soaked up the sun, enjoyed swim lessons and a trip to the Zoo.
After the 4th of July & Glenn's 29th birthday we took a family trip to Worlds of Fun. Glenn's parents & sister along with his Uncle, Aunt and cousins all joined us. I was amazed at how much Ella loved the rides big and small. She was eager to ride everything and intrigued to see the rollercoasters. Since leaving the theme park she has not stopped talking about when she grows up to be 5, she is gonna ride the rollercoasters and SCREAM! :) Ella and Emeri took swim lessons this Summer. The first 3-4 sessions were the worst experience for Ella as she was so unsure of the water and not having Mom or Dad with her. By the last class she was getting more and more comfortable with the water. We enjoyed a few trips to the pool and Ella soon began jumping in the water all on her own. Emeri was in a Mommy and Me class so I swam with her. She mastered "jumping" (really stepping) into the pool and going under. She loved the swim class but seemed to cling to me when we hit the public pool....its a work in progress. :)
We ended our Summer roadtrips with a trip to Kansas for Glenn's Uncle's wedding. It was a long 6 hour drive but thank goodness for the DVD player. Ella loves music so she was dancing all night, well, when she wasn't playing in the beverage cooler full of water and ice.
We had a FABULOUS Summer of 2010! Looking forward to the cooler weather. Heres to Fall 2010!
